Love Persevering: Exploring Grief

“But what is grief if not love persevering?”

-Vision (from the Marvel Studios series WandaVision)

In this episode will focus on grief. I was inspired for a couple of reasons, the first being that the 12th anniversary of my mom’s passing is approaching as of the release of this episode. Also, I’ve come across a number of people who have been struggling with the idea that their own grief processes are taking longer than others in their lives (in some cases themselves as well) have the patience for. Truth is, when we lose someone close to us, the mourning never fully ends; we simply learn to carry on as we are ready and build around the hole that the loss left in our being. It never does truly fill in, we simply learn to adapt to the hole.

Of course grief doesn’t come as a result of death, even though it’s the first thing we naturally think of. But there are grieving processes that result from loss of all kinds. Loss of a home, a job or career, ending of a friendship, even the ending of a way of life as we know it, as we’ve all experienced to some degree in the last couple of years for obvious reasons.

Be aware, this episode does contain occasional strong language in the form of occasional cuss words used (would probably fall into a PG-13 or TV-14 rating in the US).

This episode is dedicated with love to the memory of

Sandra (Ross) Levesque,

1/12/1951-4/21/2010.

Love you and miss you Mom!
